8 questions to ask before booking a wedding photographer

A great Instagram is only the start. Before you pay a deposit, ask these and get the answers in writing.
- Can we see a full wedding, not just highlights?
- Do we get every edited file, or are there fees to release them?
- How many weeks to full delivery — is it in the contract?
- Who exactly will shoot our day?
- Do you bring backup cameras and cards?
- What happens if it rains — or you’re ill?
- Does the price include travel?
- Will you post our photos — and will you ask first?
A good photographer answers all of these clearly — and happily puts them in the contract.
